I'm a writer myself, but when Rowling's phenomenal children's series was launched, I had no children and was only aware of the anti-Harry vein in certain Christian circles. Only when I finally had my own children, one of whom is a voracious reader, did I encounter the need to examine the books for myself. Instantly I became aware of the instrinsic Christian symbolism. Since that time I've used the books as a means of explaining how a Christian like Rowling has used the teachings of Christ to enhance her own storytelling, to my mind, even more effectively and consistently than C.S. Lewis had. Very ironic given the apocalyptic cries of certain fanatics. I stumbled on your site when my daughter suggested I write a book on the things I've been teaching her through these wonderful books. I guessed that someone had already done so, and so you have, Ms. Roper. I look forward to reading your book.

I agree with you, I would have loved more of Dumbledore's past in the movie. I also think that they must have gave more importance to the quote that was in James and Lily's tomb. The first time I saw the movie, I didn't even see it. I only realized it was there when I saw the movie the second time. Hope this changes in part 2
