One of my favorite Tolkien biographers, Joseph Pearce, and my artist friend Jef Murray have collaborated on a new EWTN TV special entitled Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings:” A Catholic World View which will be broadcast this week. Tolkien fans, you don’t want to miss this special on EWTN, which will air on Wednesday, April 6 at 10pm EST, Friday, April 8 at 1pm EST, and Saturday, April 9 at 5am EST.
More information is available here: http://www.ewtn.com/wings/2011/03312011Feature.htm
You can see samples of Jef’s artwork on his website here: http://userwww.service.emory.edu/~jmurra2/jefmurraystudios/
Some of my favorite books on Tolkien by Joseph Pearce include Tolkien: Man and Myth http://www.ignatius.com/Products/TMAN-P/tolkien-man-and-myth.aspx and Tolkien: A Celebration. http://www.ignatius.com/Products/TAC-P/tolkien-a-celebration.aspx. Both of these volumes are excellent reading for the Christian Tolkien fan.
In other news, I will be at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA on the afternoon of April 12 at 3:30 p.m., to discuss topics from my book The Lord of the Hallows: Christian Symbolism and Themes in J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter. These topics will include the similarities between the Christian worldviews of J. R. R. Tolkien and J. K. Rowling, as well as the similarities between The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I will also be doing a book signing at this event, which will be held in the Multimedia Teaching Room of the Ellender Memorial Library. If you are unable to attend the event but would like to purchase the book, please visit my publisher’s site to obtain a copy: www.outskirtspress.com/thelordofthehallows.

Hi,
It’s been quite a while I posted. I have a question about your tumblr. Where did you find (and from what scene is it?) the picture with ‘hold me tight don’t stop’?
Thanks and gl with the site.
